Telangana artisans begin a four-day relay hunger strike for regularisation

The Telangana Vidyut Artisans Convention Joint Action Committee began a four-day relay hunger strike on 20 January 2025. Artisans who keep the distribution system running — many of them on contract and outsourced rolls — sat under the red banner for absorption into regular service.

Regularisation of core electricity work is a standing task of this federation. Generation, wires and meters cannot be held by a casual workforce. EEFI stands with the artisans of Telangana.
