Electricity employees gathered in strength at Tarn Taran Sahib on 9 November 2025. The two questions on the ground were the Punjab government’s move to sell properties of the power utilities, and the draft Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2025.

Sale of land and buildings is the first cut in a public utility. The Bill would open the same wires to a private licensee and lift the paying load off the farmer. Employees and peasants have treated those two attacks as one.

EEFI stands with the electricity employees of Punjab. The public grid is not a real-estate list, and it is not a market.
