Nagpur: national convention of electricity unions and associations sets the strike line

A national convention of all unions and associations of employees and engineers of the power sector met at Bhai Bardhan Memorial Hall, Nagpur, on 23 February 2025.

The sitting brought the federations of the sector onto one platform. It fixed two national strike dates in the following months — against privatisation of electricity and against the Labour Codes — and called every state unit to prepare the rank and file.

The 10th National Conference of EEFI, a fortnight later at Thiruvananthapuram, took that line into the federation’s own resolutions.
